800km and 35 degrees

Today was the classic road trip kind of day.  The sun came out a blazing and 800km stretched before us.  Plus, we started out taking the wrong turn and heading back to Washington instead of Montana.  Thankfully, we were back on track shortly.

You would think that with a GPS such mistakes would never happen, but alas, we like to walk a different line and follow our own path!

We found a random pit stop about halfway through the day.  We had been fortunate that the boys had slept most of the drive up until then.  There was a very refreshing river that the boys were able to play in, once they contained their wiggling enough to have a bite to eat.
As promised, Theo playing

Crazy Levi

Then off to Reed Point, Montana to visit another wonderful couple from Mulege: Alan and Amy Drain.  Alan was in Mulege along side of me in 2006 after Hurricane John had hit our homes.  We were instant comrades, and there is something very comforting about walking through a trial with someone.   They will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and always show the most gracious hospitality.  Amy fed and watered us well.  The boys had little Leo's toys to play with.  I think we finally all crashed at midnight.

A Beautiful Montana Morning
